Cincinnati
Roman and Kraig did Cincinnati and Kentucky for Roman’s 13th birthday trip.
They broke the trip into 3 parts and also worked in stopping at a business trade show in Indianapolis for screenprinting.
The main itinerary points of their trip were two different indoor go cart facilities, a speedway where they do SCHOOLBUS races, a MLS game in Cincinnati, and a stop at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory in Kentucky on the way home.
The go cart facilities were incredible. Their rules were very detailed, safety was a priority, and the tracks were so impressive.
The speedway was a little bit out of the way, but they had a fun night in a small town race track watching them race all kinds of vehicles.
I think the favorite for both of them was the soccer game. Cincinnati is a really neat and easily accessible city, and their field/stadium is very nice. They won the game, too, so that made it even better. 🙂
Kraig was very impressed with the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. He said it wasn’t a terribly long stop, but definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area. Roman left with his own commemorative bat souvenir.
All in all, it was a great father-son trip for a 13th birthday!
